This workshop explores effective assessment strategies for courses incorporating AI-related activities and assignments. It was designed with faculty as the intended audience but could also serve as a model that Teaching and Learning center can adapt for use at their own institutions. The well-received workshop has been attended by more than 125 faculty in recent months.

Objectives:

• Examine diverse assessment approaches specifically designed for AI-enhanced coursework. 

Use an AI Assessment Scale to identify the desired level of AI use in a specific assignment and consider ways to communicate those expectations to students.

• After viewing exemplars and demonstrations, discussion methods for thoughtfully evaluating AI-assisted student work.

• Use AI to develop rubrics and design authentic assessments that meaningfully measure learning outcomes in the evolving landscape of AI.
